Here are some really easy hacks for looking after yourself and your doggie during the Winter months.
Here at Paw Wraps we care, we are a family run business and dogs are part of our life. To us, small and medium breed dogs are what we know love and have welcomed into our family for over forty years.
These tiny dynamos bring us so much joy but they also need extra special care during the colder months, whether it is outside on a walk or just being in a chilly house in the Winter.
Let's be honest, no one wants their house to be cold or damp but sadly circumstances do not always allow us to choose. Here at Paw Wraps our doggie pawrent base is huge from those that are quite comfortably off to others that have to count the pennies for every purchase.
Dogs are like humans, they hurt, they feel both emotionally and physically. That even extends to food poverty and freezing cold weather creating a living environment that makes them shiver!
So do what you can to keep both yourself and your furry friend warm and cosy. Buy a doggie a coat or sweater provide a blanket at night. We know our dogs enjoy warm milk and water after a walk on a chilly day, just like we warm up with a hot drink.
Keep yourself and your doggie warm this Winter and remember there are lots of people in difficult circumstances. Warm and cosy, the plug in fleecy blankets available from Argos, Wayfair and Debenhams are available for around £25, with a daily running rate of around 6p, seem a superb alternative to keep you and your doggie and/or cat toasty whilst on the sofa or bed. Again, hot water bottles with the fleecy covers can provide hours of warmth and comfort if placed under a cushion in the dog's bed.
Adding a layer under their normal coats whilst out in chillier weather is something we always advocate. Lots of options in our collections list for that, take your pick!
Our adjustable waterproof paw boots have been a best seller and provide protection after surgery, injury or just to keep your doggies paws from slipping in freezing and icy conditions. You can find them here in store in a range of colours with non slip soles. Also fantastic in muddy conditions, saving having to clean your dog's paws when you return home or get in the car. Slip them off and you are ready to go!
Again a small, inexpensive but ingenious device is coming soon to paw wraps, a reflective and LED lit detachable dog collar tag for the dark nights. We have been trialling these and the feed- back has been phenomenal.
A tiny labour saving device which will make walks on dark mornings of dark evenings or for those with visual impalements a much more reassuring experience. Winter is a wonderful season and the landscape can be beautiful for you and your dog on a daily walk.
Sending season best wishes to you and your pet family
